HAZEL CREST, Ill. (WIFR) – The Wind Creek Casino could open their doors next week, pending final approval from the Illinois Gaming Board.

The 75,000 square foot facility will include 1,400 slot machines, 56 table games and a 13,000 square foot buffet. The casino plans to bring in 2,000 jobs.

In early 2025, a 10,000-square-foot entertainment area and a 16- floor hotel are scheduled to open.

Rep. Bob Rita says, “This is gonna be an economic engine for not only the facility where its located, but the entire region. Revenue that will be coming to our construction, our program, which all the communities will benefit, plus the revenue sharing of all the south suburban communities.”
