SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB) — UPDATE: Power was restored around 2:30 a.m. at Rivers Casino; operations will resume as normal.

Rivers Casino is closed for the evening following a network outage.

The outage means security cameras on the gaming floor are not working, and casino officials say when that is the case, the Gaming Commission prohibits anyone being on the gaming floor. In addition, due to the outage, nobody can cash out digitally, and vendors cannot process credit or debit cards. Casino officials announced the evening’s closure at about 9 p.m.

National Grid and the casino’s own tech crew are working to repair the outage, believed to have been caused by high winds.
