KLAS-TV/Las Vegas reported Wednesday night that Snowden was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and released.

Mr. Snowden was not required to appear in court or post bail after his arrest, nor did he have a probable cause hearing before his release or scheduled arraignment.

According to Nevada law, anyone convicted of the crimes he is charged with could face up to six months in prison. Additionally, if Snowden is found to have been driving with a blood or breath alcohol level of 0.18% or higher, a treatment program will be required.

Las Vegas police stopped Snowden, 26, after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle. His alcohol level has not yet been reported.

Snowden, who most recently played last Sunday against Tampa Bay, Florida, is in his second season with the Raiders. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and spent time on the practice squads of the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with the Raiders last December.

He made his debut with the Raiders this season, appearing in all 13 games, starting seven times, making 30 tackles and recording 1.5 sacks.

uncertain future

Mr. Snowden’s future with the organization is now in question. It was unclear whether he participated in the Raider walkthrough Wednesday, which was closed to the media. The Raiders did not respond to requests for comment.

Last year, the Raiders cut safety Roderick Teamer the day after he was arrested for drunk driving. This was seen as a harsh rebuke to drunk drivers, with whom the franchise has had an unfortunate recent history.

In November 2021, Raiders first-round draft pick Henry Ruggs reached speeds of 156 mph while driving drunk on a Las Vegas road, killing 23-year-old Tina Tintle and her dog. He is currently serving a three to 10 year sentence.
